SARAWAK, 8th November – Moevd Groups Sdn Bhd has participated in the Program Jelajah Halal Malaysia Sarawak from 8 Nov to 10 Nov 2022 which took place at the Dewan Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, Kuching, Sarawak. The event was jointly organised by Halal Development Corporation (HDC), MITI, Jabatan Agama Islam Sarawak, Majlis Islam Sarawak and MINTRED. The objective of the programme is to encourage and support the local entrepreneurs who are looking for business opportunities in the halal market, which is now actively growing. A total of 746 premises in the state of Sarawak have been recognised as Halal-certified as of August 2022.
The event was officiated by Datuk Hajah Sharifah Hasidah binti Sayed Aman Ghazali, the Deputy Minister in the Premier Sarawak Department.
During the event, Moevd introduced its new platform, Moevd Halmart; a one-stop Halal wholesale market app for SME retailers to sell their products online. A workshop was also conducted for approximately 40 entrepreneurs to brief them on what Moevd Halmart is, the benefits of M Halmart and how to sign up as merchants on the platform.
